Canon Sources

What the estate already decided. This repo cites these — it never copies their values.

Pricing authority

Confirmed

ALUMAX Sell Catalog — `tool.html`, live on alumax.pro (machine twin: claude_ALUMAX-Sell-Catalog.json).

George 2026-07-16, and re-confirmed 2026-08-25. Supersedes the 2026-06-23 B table where they overlap (MT-CR-11 · ADOS Register v3.8).

Scrubbed for publication
The filename is the finding. SCRUBBED = the margin module was removed, and the file says so: 'margin module retired 2026-07-17: margin analysis lives in OS1 (staff-gated els.alumax.pro) per the ADOS two-OS ruling'. The estate has therefore ALREADY made this repo's INTERNAL / PUBLIC split at the file level — OS1 staff-gated carries margin, the Sell tool carries sell prices only. This is the publishable pricing surface, and it is the one a rule may cite.
Not yet ratified
Roughly nine SKUs in the Sell tool carry 'SUPPLIER-DERIVED sell (higher-reading rule) · George pricing veto pending' — 3-track sliders, slim and folding bathroom doors, insulated sliding and folding doors, the aluminium-wood bedroom door, the carved security entrance, the steel security card door. Those are live catalogue lines whose price has NOT been ratified. On this repo's ladder they are Level D wearing a committed price — do not cite them as settled, even as a band.

None of this makes a figure committable here. Published bands may be referenced; cost, margin, MOQ, lead time and defect rates stay INTERNAL in Airtable — RULE-COST-BAND-001.

CANON

ELS-MATRIX

ELS × ALUMAX Master Execution Matrix — Renovation Engineering & Operational Standards · Sarawak Tropical Adaptation

Execution and operational standards across the build phases — wet works, tiling & waterproofing, plastering, cabinet carcass & hardware, doors, kitchen & appliances, sanitaryware, soft furnishings, electrical & lighting, HVAC, procurement & pre-con, and project phasing.

CANON

ELS-BOOKS

The ELS Books (V4.x HARMONIZED) — 17 books + Master Index

The canon the matrix and standards/index.ts both derive from. If a derived extract disagrees with a Book, the Book wins and the extract is defective.

IMPLEMENTATION

OS1-ENGINE

OS1 · ELS Room Specification & Procurement Engine — production

Nothing. It DECIDES nothing and it is not canon. It is the designer-led pipeline a real job is actually specified and bought through — shell to surfaces to tags to quantities to engineering to gated procurement — and therefore the only place to check whether a rule is practised or merely written.

Cite as
engine:OS1 v1.22 <symbol> — <what it does>
Must not
  • Import any of its libraries, presets or rates as rules. It holds hundreds of values; they are ELS canon values or ALUMAX commercial ones, and copying either forks a source of truth.
  • Commit ANY figure it carries on the commercial side. JOB_BANDS (gross-margin bands by job type), ZONES (outstation cost and risk loadings by Sarawak region), AWD_RATES, COST and DISC are exactly the INTERNAL class the README bars from Git — RULE-COST-BAND-001 and the Airtable Suppliers boundary.
  • Treat an engine behaviour as evidence that a rule is CORRECT. It evidences only that the behaviour is CURRENT. A wrong rule implemented consistently is still wrong — that is the RULE-LIGHT-CCT-001 case below.
  • Store the file here. Metadata and path only, as with every other asset.
DERIVED_SPEC

ELS-OS3-FFL-SHOPLOT

ELS OS3 · Standard FFL — 6 × 20 m Shoplot Shell (Showroom · Office · Serviced Apartment) v1.1

Finished-floor-level heights for sockets, switches, DB, comms, CCTV and building services in a 6 × 20 m shoplot shell, across three first-occupancy uses. Its stated hierarchy: 'Book 9 (Electrical) governs · Books govern > Matrix operationalises'.

Cite as
spec:ELS-OS3-FFL-SHOPLOT §<section> — <item>
Must not
  • Restate its FFL dimensions. The » heights are Book 9 values (switch datum, socket heights, counter offsets, under-sink, hood) and belong to Book 9 — cite ELS-9-SW-01/02/03/04, CS-02, AR-01 and the rest, never copy the number.
  • Commit any cable rate it quotes. Section 1 carries RM/m figures for 2.5 mm² vs 4 mm² — INTERNAL, per RULE-COST-BAND-001 and the Suppliers boundary.
  • Promote a † item to a rule. A working default with no Book rule behind it is Level D by the author's own marking, and evidence_level D is mechanically barred from APPROVED.
  • Treat its section 8 (life safety) as something this estate can specify. It is explicitly outside ELS canon — see findings below.
IMPLEMENTATION

OS2-ENGINE

ELS OS2 · Visual Selection Studio (Visual Selection Engine) v4.7

The customer-facing selection surface: emotion → attribute duels → taste profile → collection → spaces → indicative estimate → OS1 handoff. Its own frozen definition: 'the Home Planning & Product Selection Engine — not a renovation engine.'

Cite as
engine:OS2 v4.7 <symbol> — <what it does>
Must not
  • Import its RATE_TABLE. It is a mirror of the Sell Catalog, and the Sell Catalog is the base — cite the base, not the mirror.
  • Treat its demo render metadata (buildDemoRenders) as canon. It is seeded so the tool demos; production replaces it via the manifest.
  • Restate its wall-colour hex values as canon. The file says so itself: hex is a SCREEN APPROXIMATION, the signed colour is the physical Jotun fan deck.
IMPLEMENTATION

ALUMAX-SELL-TOOL

ALUMAX Quotation · Tier System Prototype v6.9 — the Sell Catalog, live on alumax.pro

The published sell price of every ALUMAX line, plus the packages, the à-la-carte menu, the ELS services and the job minimums. See pricing_authority above — this file IS the base.

Cite as
tool:ALUMAX-SELL v6.9 <SKU or rule> — <what it says>
Must not
  • Commit any RM figure from it into a rule. RULE-COST-BAND-001 governs: relative bands only, never an RM figure on a public or comparison surface. Its readability changes nothing about that.
  • Cite a line flagged 'George pricing veto pending' as settled — see pricing_authority.veto_pending.
  • Quote its internal labour references. Several tile lines carry 'BACKEND labour reference (internal, not client-facing)' inline — INTERNAL, exactly like the Matrix's Internal Notes field.

ADOS-REGISTER

ADOS Master Register — HARMONIZED v4.21 (2026-07-17)

The estate's operational source of truth: which artifact version is certified with which, who owns every class of value, and the harmonisation record that makes them one system. Its own line: the canon indexes the RULES, this register indexes the OPERATING ARTIFACTS that execute them.

Cite as
register:ADOS v4.21 §<section> — <what it rules>
Must not
  • Treat it as a rules source. It indexes and certifies; the rules live in the Books and the Matrix.
  • Copy its RM figures. It quotes whole-home package totals and rate bands throughout — every one of them is owned by the Sell Catalog or the B table, and RULE-COST-BAND-001 governs what may be repeated.
  • Assume its version line is current. It certifies a line-up (OS1 v1.22 · OS2 v4.7 · LDS MT@1.6); a later artifact bump invalidates the row, not the doctrine.

RULE-MAT-WET-004 — sink-base / wet-zone carcass material selection
canon:ELS-BOOKS Book 7 §14 B7-CA — 'LED drivers must NOT be placed inside cabinets — heat buildup, fire risk, reduced lifespan', and B7-CA04's IP guide by cabinet position (under-cabinet IP44 · display IP20 · toe-kick IP44 · bathroom vanity IP44/IP65 · outdoor IP65).
ReadingOur wet-zone rule reasons about the carcass. Book 7 reasons about what is mounted in it, and reaches the same zoning conclusion by a different route — moisture exposure sets the specification, position by position. The two are complementary, not overlapping: cite Book 7 for anything powered inside a wet cabinet rather than extending our rule to cover it.
